Challenges They Face
MillTex needed a scalable outbound system to reach busy decorators and print shop owners who don’t respond to generic pitches. Their challenge was to find the right contacts in their main shipping lanes and deliver messaging that resonated directly with operational pain points, without burning contacts or getting caught up in spam.
Our Strategy & Execution
We deployed a targeted, intent-based outreach strategy to help MillTex reach key decision-makers in screen printing, DTG/DTF, embroidery, promo, and campus/merch businesses across North America. We used to do that too, to simplify their blank offering and convert interest into meaningful conversations.
Email Outreach
We did a very disciplined email outreach strategy to connect with the right operational and business stakeholders. Here's what we did:
- Developed targeted lists with Apollo & Apify for owners, production managers, and purchasing leads at small – mid-sized North American decorators.
- Wrote custom cold emails highlighting Milltex's next-day fulfillment, no minimums, live inventory, and tariff-stable sourcing.
- A/B tested messaging around pillars like "More prints, less panic" and "Sample today. Scale tomorrow" for more answers.
- Used Saleshandy to track opens, clicks, and responses for continuous optimization.

What worked?
-
01
MillTex has a structured email sequence with multiple touches that makes it easy to present and communicate clear value around speed, flexibility, and tariff-stable sourcing of its blanks.
-
02
Follow-up messages to prospects who had opened previous emails dramatically increased reply rates because they had already indicated their interest.
What didn't work?
-
The last time we did outreach, we struggled because our messaging was heavy on product specs, making it harder for prospects to immediately connect with the value MillTex offers.
-
Initially, the broad targeting yielded mixed responses until the outreach was narrowed to focus on more relevant decision makers, owners, production managers, and purchasing leads at decorator shops with the right volume and urgency signals.
End Result
- 01 642 prospects successfully contacted via a structured, intent-driven email outreach campaign targeting decorators throughout North America.
- 02 260 opens (~40.5% open rate), indicating a strong resonance with Milltex’s messaging around speed, flexibility, and tariff-stable sourcing.
- 03 13 responses (~2.02% response rate), with active participation from the right decision-makers.
👉 Most importantly, a well-structured email sequencing strategy with intent-based retargeting has delivered 8 MQLs, turning early interest into real sales opportunities for MillTex.
